As a local graphic designer, photographer and artist I have had a passion for equines that dates back to my early childhood years. The youngest of five girls, I was fascinated by the ponies and horses my sisters would trot around on in the fields surrounding my parent’s property. With the first photos of me perched on top of the white pony known as Willie at just two years old, it was not hard to believe that horses would always be a love of mine. Now residing in Union Bridge, Maryland with three horses of my own, I continue to display my respect, admiration and awe for these powerful animals through many of the works produced under Windy Ridge Studio, LLC. Whether it is a close up that captures the curve of every eyelash as they peak out from behind a tousled mane blowing across his forehead or a magnificent shot featuring a stallion in full stride as it sails in front of the gold and red leaves of the fall follage, it is easy to see why horses have captured my heart and continue to inspire me today. Through exploring my love for photography, a multitude of other subject matter such as people, landscapes, nature and pets have all become an important part of this studio.
